Nowadays in nearly all cultures, young people find it difficult to discover God’s call for their lives. There are so many opportunities to serve and so many giftings to be developed that many people simply become overwhelmed by the choices. The Discipleship Training School is designed to help you discover your calling as a Christian. It is also the gateway for those who wish to be involved in missions through YWAM and become an effective disciple of the Jesus.
DTS is not just an academic course where you can learn new things and develop knowledge, it has an emphasis on applying Biblical principles and developing a heart of faith. It is for Christians of all ages and cultures who wish to fulfill God’s call on their life. The course lasts for five months. For the first three months you will live on the YWAM campus. The final two months are spent doing a practical outreach either in Brazil or another country.
The practical phase of the course gives you valuable experience in the field and will open your vision for missions and other possibilities to serve. At YWAM Recife we receive students from Brazil and other nations and this creates an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange.
This Discipleship Training School is registered with the University of the Nations and can serve as a pre-requisite for all other major UofN courses together with formal YWAM registration to either become a staff member or apply for other courses.
